The preliminary programme and event page for the Euroflex stormøte (large meeting) in Haugesund on 11-12 November 2026, run by Euroflex, the Norwegian local flexibility market project that operates on NODES (see Source - Euroflex Norwegian LFM (NODES, 2026) for the January 2026 market update). The programme is marked “will be updated”; it contains no figures, only session titles and descriptions.
What the event page says
- Venue and times. Quality Hotel Maritim, Haugesund; start 11 Nov 10:00, end 12 Nov 15:00; a joint dinner on the 11th.
- Phase of the project. “Euroflex enters its last trading season before the closing conference and the end of the project.” The meeting is described as looking back at experience so far and ahead to the final trading season and “the way forward after Euroflex”. It is open to anyone working with or interested in flexibility, energy markets and power-system development.
Programme highlights
- Day 1 (framework conditions and value). Two talks from the Norwegian regulator RME: its work on flexibility (status, priorities, next steps) and how the revenue-cap regulation shapes grid companies’ view of flexibility versus grid investment. Euroflex’s framework-conditions group reports status and recommendations. Tensio presents experience from its FrøyFlex project and a worked calculation of the socio-economic value of flexibility (assumptions, alternative grid cost, activation cost and uncertainty). A session presents two analyses of when flexibility pays compared with building grid, followed by a panel on whether using flexibility pays (revenue cap, socio-economics, company economics). A parallel session plans the final report and closure of “Euroflex 2”.
- Day 2 (Euroflex 3, register, coordination, practice).
- Guide: a walk-through of the updated guide for flexibility markets.
- Statnett: Statnett’s plan for aggregation, with emphasis on DSO-TSO coordination.
- National design: proposals for national products and national terms for local flexibility, and a session on moving from the existing flexibility register to a national register. A verification workshop reviews solution proposals for verifying deliveries and a time-series hub.
- Euroflex 3: an introduction to the “Euroflex 3” track from the DSO perspective (work packages, roles, organisation) and a session on what Euroflex 3 must deliver for flexibility service providers (market access, customer volume, register, coordination, commercial participation).
- Coordination and training: coordination between initiatives and projects to reduce duplicated work, beginner sessions from NODES for new grid companies and for service providers, a market status and new functionality session from NODES, and a scenario-based practice workshop.
What it signals (reading, not stated)
Euroflex 2 is ending and a successor track is being organised, while work is under way on a national flexibility register and on national products and terms. The revenue-cap sessions with RME show the incentive question is on the agenda; the programme gives no conclusions.
