Svk Ansökningskö Statistik (2026-09)

Source Updated 2026-10-06 Cited by 6 pages

A dated snapshot of Svenska kraftnät‘s connection-queue statistics for the transmission grid (stamnätet), per 1 September 2026 (pages reviewed 2 September 2026). The pages carry dated snapshots that are presumably replaced when Svk updates them, so the figures here are quoted as “per 1 september 2026”; the page text fetched on 6 Oct 2026 still showed this snapshot. Offshore wind is outside the statistics because it is handled in a separate process.

Definition (Svk): “applied power” is the total power in Svk’s connection queue, that is until capacity has been reserved and a preliminary decision (förhandsbesked) sent.

Applied power by connection type, whole country

Connection typeProductionConsumption
Solar4,844 MW
Onshore wind9,004 MW
Other production4,348 MW
Energy storage2,260 MW2,206 MW
Data centres6,984 MW
Industry11,122 MW
Other consumption5,630 MW
Total20,456 MW25,992 MW

Of the total applied power (excluding offshore wind), “utredning pågår” is 15,563 MW and “undersökning ej startad” is 30,885 MW.

By price zone, consumption (data centres in brackets)

ZoneConsumptionData centresProduction
SE111,537 MW495 MW4,320 MW
SE24,508 MW1,320 MW4,768 MW
SE39,293 MW5,169 MW9,983 MW
SE4654 MWnone1,411 MW

The consumption zone figures add up to the national 25,992 MW and 6,984 MW. The production zone figures add up to 20,482 MW against 20,456 MW nationally, a 26 MW difference that Svk’s pages do not explain (by type, solar differs by 36 MW and onshore wind by 10 MW). SE2 “other consumption” is printed as “565” without a unit.

Reserved capacity (förhandsbesked) per year

Svk explains that capacity is reserved when applicants receive a förhandsbesked, which removes the corresponding power from the queue; actual allocation comes later, at the connection agreement. The figures are maximum power and say nothing about simultaneous use, and Svk compares them with Sweden’s peak-load hour of “about 25,000 MW”. The queue consumption figure of 25,992 MW and Svk’s peak-load figure are different quantities and should not be mixed.

Not captured: the pages’ charts (assigned, reserved and applied power overview, updated 18 Aug 2026, and desired and planned commissioning dates) and the per-zone PDFs were not read.
