Summary
Svk’s monthly balancing-market price and volume report for April 2026, one of the series behind Swedish Balancing Market Prices and Volumes. Prices are straight monthly means unless stated (FCR: volume-weighted). The figures below are from the summary page (p. 2), the zone bar charts (pp. 8, 12, cross-checked against the May report’s bars) and the commentary on pp. 9–19.
FCR moved to Nordic MMS on 14 April 2026. The report notes that the FCR market moved to the Nordic MMS market platform during the month (also noted in Source - Svk Månadsrapport Balansmarknader Juli 2026).
Key figures — April 2026
FCR capacity prices (monthly mean, EUR/MW): FCR-N 18.7; FCR-D upp 3.8; FCR-D ned 2.9. FCR-N and FCR-D ned fell versus March and versus April 2025; FCR-D upp was level with March and lower than April 2025.
aFRR CM prices (monthly mean, EUR/MW):

Both directions rose in every zone versus March and were below April 2025 in every zone. Monthly means were similar across zones, but SE4 aFRR up reached an hourly maximum of 237 EUR/MW (SE1–SE3: 32–36). aFRR down maxima were 60 EUR/MW in SE1 and 52–53 in SE2–SE4. The share of Sweden’s aFRR requirement called in Sweden rose to 64% (down) and 8% (up). Norway had the largest share of called aFRR up volume, Finland of aFRR down; SE4 again had no down calls.
mFRR CM prices (monthly mean, EUR/MW):

mFRR up rose in SE1–SE2 and fell in SE3–SE4 versus March; mFRR down rose in SE1, fell in SE2 and held level in SE3–SE4. All zones were below April 2025. Hourly mFRR up was highest in SE4 in almost every hour (max 179.5 EUR/MW; SE3 98.6, SE2 45, SE1 22); hourly mFRR down peaked at 72 in SE1, 56 in SE2 and 22 in SE3–SE4. The share of Sweden’s mFRR CM requirement called in Sweden rose by 1 percentage point (up) and 2 points (down).

The up spread rose in SE1 and SE4 and held level in SE2–SE3; the down spread widened in SE1–SE2, narrowed in SE4 and held level in SE3. Against April 2025 both spreads fell in every zone. In SE1–SE4, activated volumes fell for mFRR up and rose for mFRR down.
