Summary
Svk’s monthly balancing-market price and volume report for March 2026, one of the series behind Swedish Balancing Market Prices and Volumes. Prices are straight monthly means unless stated (FCR: volume-weighted). The figures below are from the summary page (p. 2), the zone bar charts (pp. 8, 12) and the commentary on pp. 9–19, checked against the rendered pages. The bar charts on pp. 8 and 12 also show January and February 2026; those values agree with the February report itself and were used to correct Source - Svk Månadsrapport Balansmarknader Februari 2026.
Key figures — March 2026
FCR capacity prices (monthly mean, EUR/MW): FCR-N 20.3; FCR-D upp 3.7; FCR-D ned 4.8. FCR-N and FCR-D upp fell versus February (30.9 and 8.4) and landed somewhat below March 2025; FCR-D ned rose and was level with March 2025.
aFRR CM prices (monthly mean, EUR/MW):

aFRR up fell and aFRR down rose in every zone versus February; both were below March 2025 in every zone. Hourly maxima: aFRR up 65 (SE3) and 72 EUR/MW (SE4), 34 in SE1/SE2; aFRR down 49 in SE2–SE4 and 40 in SE1. Share of Sweden’s aFRR requirement called in Sweden: up still close to 0%, down 40% (lower than February). Norway had the largest share of called aFRR up volume, Finland of aFRR down; there were no calls in SE4.

mFRR up rose in SE4 and fell in SE1–SE3 versus February; mFRR down rose in SE1 and SE2 and held level in SE3 and SE4. All zones were below March 2025 in both directions. Hourly mFRR up was highest in SE4 in almost every hour (max 167 EUR/MW; SE3 160, SE1 and SE2 20). The share of Sweden’s mFRR CM requirement called in Sweden rose in both directions, by 9 percentage points for mFRR up.

The up spread fell in every zone versus February, most in SE4; the down spread narrowed in SE1–SE3 and widened in SE4. Against March 2025 the up spread fell in SE2–SE4 and rose in SE1, and the down spread fell everywhere. Activated mFRR volumes rose in both directions, in SE1–SE4 and at the Nordic level.
